Welcome!

I need a home!

Welcome to the Vigil GSD Rescue website!

Vigil was founded in 1984 and is a registered charity that rescues and re-homes German Shepherd Dogs throughout the UK. The rescue is a non-profit organisation that is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, and we rely totally on donations from the general public to keep the rescue running.

I need a home!

From the first day Vigil began operations we boarded dogs at Treetops Kennels in Guildford and we are thrilled to still be operating from Treetops.

We are proud to be one of the few rescues in the UK that will take on problem dogs and work with them for as long as it takes to ensure the dog can be re-homed successfully.

You can support our efforts to help German Shepherds by making a Donation  or  by sponsoring a dog if you are unable to adopt.  You can also help as you shop online, through Easyfundraising.com by choosing to support us.  You can also become a member

Details of the dogs looking for homes can be found in the Dogs section of the website and also check the Forum for feedback on individual dogs from the Trustees & walkers.

If you wish to contact Vigil regarding adopting dog, volunteering or if you know of a dog that needs our help, please click on the Contact Us link above.
