Welcome to the Vigil GSD Rescue website!
Vigil was founded in 1984 and is a registered charity that rescues and re-homes German Shepherd Dogs throughout the UK. The rescue is a non-profit organisation that is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, and we rely totally on donations from the general public to keep the rescue running.
Our annual Fun Day Dog Show will be held on Sunday 19th July 2015 from 12 to 4pm and it's open to all breeds - not just German Shepherds! Come along and have some fun with your dog. More info can be found here
Trustee Stella MacNay has been on Eagle Radio talking about Vigil GSD Rescue, German Shepherds, the help we need, and how she got involved. Click here to visit Eagle Radio and listen to Stella's great broadcast!

From the first day Vigil began operations we boarded dogs at Treetops Kennels in Guildford and we are thrilled to still be operating from Treetops.
We are proud to be one of the few rescues in the UK that will take on problem dogs and work with them for as long as it takes to ensure the dog can be re-homed successfully.
You can support our efforts to help German Shepherds by making a Donation or by sponsoring a dog if you are unable to adopt. You can also help as you shop online, through Easyfundraising.com by choosing to support us. You can also become a member.
